yes, i'm still alive.

to my devoted readers out there....lol..yes, i'm still alive.

with starting a new job and juggling 2 girls, a husband and a household....it can get pretty chaotic. i'm happy to report though, that work is going great and i'm learning the ropes even faster than i thought i would. the people are friendly, the commute is short, and so far i've had a lot of time to spend with my girls despite being away from home most of the day.

in the midst of us adjusting to our new family life, the hubs and i are getting the itch. the moving itch. we've always felt very blessed for our humble beginnings but now that our family has a dual income we're slowly starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. that being said, we've been looking around for bigger homes that our family can settle into, but not without fixing up the one we've got first.

this weekend the hubs and i got really ambitious and redid the vinyl flooring in our bathrooms. ow. my knees hurt.  we figured we wanted to put in a few upgrades to the place without sinking too much money into it before we put it up on the market. sales in our building have been slow, but we feel like we have a good chance considering the size of our place. so far the vinyl has been put down, the hubs is working on the new baseboards and i'm doing all of the silicone seals. all of the faucets have been replaced, including the one in the kitchen..so everything looks quite new.

now i should mention that we've already shot ourselves in the foot by falling in love with a townhome around the corner from where we currently live, which of course, will probably be sold before we even sell our place. but the idea of finding a new place that will suit your family perfectly gives us that motivation to get our condo show home ready. i will post photos once the bathrooms are complete!

we couldn't let our bathroom renovations swallow up our entire weekend though, so in true de paz family style, we crammed a bunch of stuff to do with the kids.

one of them being another visit to krause berry farms for some blueberry picking! our little olivia just adores blueberries, so we weren't too surprised when she went to town picking and eating them right off the bush.

waiting in line for some fresh strawberry milkshakes and corn pizza!

my little helper, picking blueberries and holding the basket..

olivia..quality control..

our last stop was the petting zoo to feed the goats. boy did emma have a great time doing that! it started with that big guy on the left and before we knew it the whole family was out in search of food!

we didn't stay too long as it was quite hot and humid yesterday. the girls were quite rosy so thank goodness for air conditioning in cars!

all in all a great weekend mixed with family time and home renovations. i swear our lives are hgtv reality tv worthy! we're all still trying to figure out how certain things are going to fit in..but will always revert to the "fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants" version any day!
